Public Bus
From Palatine, head to the nearest bus stop and board the Pace Bus Route 696 towards the South. You will need to ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Harlem & 16th' stop. From there, transfer to the CTA Bus #20 (Madison) and ride it for approximately 15 minutes until you reach 'Central Park & Madison'. From that stop, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Garfield Park Conservatory at 300 N Central Park Ave. Simply head north on Central Park Ave until you arrive at the Conservatory.

Train
Begin your journey by walking to the Palatine Metra Station. Purchase a ticket for the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. After about a 45-minute ride, disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. From there, take a short walk to the Washington/Wells station and board the CTA 'Green Line' train towards Ashland. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the 'Central' station. Finally, walk north on Central Park Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach the Garfield Park Conservatory.

If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Palatine. Start your ride by heading east on Dundee Rd, then turn south on Route 53. Continue on Route 53 until you reach the intersection with Lake St, then turn left. Follow Lake St until you reach Central Park Ave and turn right. The Garfield Park Conservatory will be on your left at 300 N Central Park Ave. This route is approximately 10 miles and will take about 40-50 minutes depending on your speed.
