The train ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center (also known as the Chicago Union Station). Once you arrive, exit the station and walk to the nearby bus stop on Canal St. Take the #146 bus towards the Museum Campus. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the Soldier Field stop. You will be just a short walk from Soldier Field, located at 1410 Special Olympics Dr, Chicago, IL 60605.

If you are in downtown Palatine, you can start your walk from the Palatine Village Hall located at 200 E Wood St, Palatine, IL 60067. Head east on Wood St towards N Brockway St. Turn left onto N Brockway St and continue until you reach the Metra Station. From the Metra Station, take the aforementioned route using the train and bus to reach Soldier Field.
