My Museum: A World Imagined by Kids, For Kids

My Museum is a distinctive children's museum located on the campus of Quest Academy in Palatine, Illinois. What sets it apart is that the exhibits are designed and created by the students themselves, from preschool through third grade. This innovative approach ensures that each exhibit is tailored to the interests and developmental needs of young children, fostering a love of learning through play.The museum features a variety of interactive exhibits that allow children to explore different roles and concepts. Kids can explore what it's like to be a surgeon, an astronaut, or an archeologist. Exhibits include an underwater food truck, a mock grocery store, and an archeological dig.My Museum was founded by Gary Mann, an art teacher at Quest Academy, with the goal of providing a space where all children, regardless of their circumstances, could learn and play. The museum is open to the public and welcomes playgroups, preschools, and families with young children. It operates with specific hours during the school year and more frequently during the summer.
