Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Peoria, start at the Peoria Civic Center located at 201 SW Jefferson Ave. Walk south on SW Jefferson Ave toward SW Adams St. Turn left onto SW Adams St and continue walking until you reach the intersection with SW Washington St. Turn right onto SW Washington St, and the Caterpillar Visitors Center will be on your left at 110 SW Washington St. The total distance is about 0.5 miles and should take approximately 10 minutes to walk.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  If you’re near the Peoria Public Library at 107 NE Monroe St, you can take the Citylink bus. Head to the nearest bus stop at the library and catch the Route 4 or Route 5 bus heading towards the downtown area. Get off at the stop at SW Washington St and SW Main St. From there, walk south on SW Washington St for about 2 blocks, and you will find the Caterpillar Visitors Center at 110 SW Washington St. The bus ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on the wait time.

• Bike

  If you have access to a bike, you can easily ride to the Caterpillar Visitors Center. Start from the Riverfront Park area and head south on the Riverfront Trail, then turn onto SW Washington St. Continue riding until you reach 110 SW Washington St. The bike ride is approximately 1 mile and should take around 5-10 minutes depending on your speed.
