Public Transportation (Bus)
If you're starting from downtown Peoria, you can take the CityLink bus service. Look for the bus stop at Main & Adams. Board the Route 5 bus heading towards 'Northwoods Mall.' Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop at North Prospect & War Memorial. From there, it's a short walk to the Peoria Zoo. Head north on Prospect Road for about 0.3 miles, and you will see the entrance to the zoo on your right at 2320 N Prospect Rd.
Walking
If you are near the Peoria Riverfront, you can walk to the zoo. Start at the Riverfront Park and head north on Water Street until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and continue walking until you reach Prospect Road. Turn right onto Prospect Road and walk north for about 1.5 miles. The Peoria Zoo will be on your right at 2320 N Prospect Rd.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-share stations. Start at the Riverfront Park and follow the bike path along the river north. As you reach Main Street, turn left and continue to follow the road until you reach Prospect Road. Turn right onto Prospect Road, and bike north for about 1.5 miles. The Peoria Zoo will be on your right at 2320 N Prospect Rd.
