Walking
From the intersection of Main Street and Washington Street, walk southwest on Washington Street for approximately 2 blocks. The Peoria Riverfront Museum will be on your left. The main entrance to the museum faces Washington Street.

Driving
Approach the museum on I-74 and take Exit 93 for Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and drive one block. Turn left on Main Street, then right on Water Street. The entrance to the museum's parking garage is on Water Street between Main and Liberty. Parking is free in the museum garage with museum admission. Additional covered parking is available in garages on Washington Street. Metered parking is available on Main, Liberty, and Water Streets. Parking at meters is free after 6 PM.

The Dome Planetarium, a key feature of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, provides an awe-inspiring journey through the cosmos. Equipped with the world's most advanced planetarium system, including Zeiss real-sky projection and real-time Uniview technology, the planetarium offers vivid sights of space and a realistic night sky.Originally opened in 1963 at Lakeview Park, the planetarium has been educating and entertaining visitors for sixty years. In 2012, it found its new home in the Peoria Riverfront Museum, continuing its mission to inspire lifelong learning. The planetarium boasts a 40-foot dome and 70 seats, offering regular shows for families and reserved shows for schools and groups.The Zeiss Powerdome Planetarium System projects over 7,000 stars using a patented fiber-optic projection system, creating a star field that closely resembles the real sky. The SCISS Uniview technology uses real-time satellite feeds and digital astronomical data to provide accurate, full-color views of the universe. Visitors can embark on guided trips from our solar system to distant galaxies without leaving Peoria.The Peoria Riverfront Museum itself is a multidisciplinary facility that combines art, history, science, and achievement. It features five large galleries, a giant screen theater, a gift shop, and a snack bar. The museum aims to connect visitors of all ages with collections, exhibitions, and programs that inspire curiosity and learning.
