Getting There

    If you're driving from Prairie State, head north on I-55. Take the exit for I-290 East towards Chicago. Merge onto I-90/I-94 North. Follow the signs for 18th St and exit onto 18th St. Continue straight onto S. Linn White Dr, and you will arrive at Northerly Island Park at 1521 S Linn White Dr, Chicago, IL 60605. Parking is available, but be aware that there may be parking fees depending on the time and day.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    From Prairie State, make your way to the nearest Metra station and board a train heading towards Chicago Union Station. Once you arrive at Union Station, transfer to the CTA ‘L’ train. Take the Pink Line towards 54th/Cermak or the Blue Line towards O'Hare. Get off at the Polk station. From there, you can either take a bus or ride-sharing service to get to Northerly Island Park. You can also walk approximately 1.5 miles northeast to reach the park.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Prairie State, locate the nearest bus stop for the Pace Suburban Bus service. Take a bus that connects to the CTA Blue Line or Pink Line. Transfer to the CTA at the nearest station, then take the train to the Polk station. After getting off at Polk, you can take bus route #12 (Roosevelt) to the museum campus area. Get off at the nearest stop and walk to Northerly Island Park.
