Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from downtown Davenport. Head east on W 2nd St towards Iowa St. Continue straight to merge onto I-74 N. Take exit 1C for US-61 N toward I-280. Continue on US-61 N for about 3 miles. Take the exit toward 53rd St/Downtown. Keep right at the fork to continue on 53rd St. Follow the signs for Government Bridge; it will be on your right. Parking is available nearby, but may have fees depending on the area.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, take the MetroLINK bus service. Routes 1 and 5 connect through Davenport and reach the area near Government Bridge. Check the current schedule for the most accurate timings and designated stops. Once you get off at the nearest stop, it's a short walk to the bridge.

  If you're already in downtown Davenport, you can walk to Government Bridge. Start at the Riverwalk and head east towards the bridge, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs for the bike path along the Mississippi River which will lead you directly to Government Bridge.

• Biking

  For those who enjoy biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Davenport. Take the bike path along the Mississippi River and follow it to Government Bridge. This route provides scenic views of the river and surrounding area, making it a pleasant biking experience.
