    The Old Blacksmith Shop is located at 245 N Commerce St in downtown Galena. From most points in the downtown area, it is easily accessible on foot. From the Galena Welcome Center at 101 Bouthillier Street, cross the Galena River using the pedestrian bridge. Once across the bridge, walk north on Commerce Street for approximately 2 blocks. The Old Blacksmith Shop will be on your left. There are no costs associated with walking.

    Public Transport

    Jo Daviess County Transit provides public transportation within the City of Galena on weekdays and Saturdays. The fare is $0.50 each way, but requires a 24-hour advance notice. Contact Jo Daviess County Transit at 815-777-8088 to make a reservation.

    Parking

    Parking is available in downtown Galena. There is an all-day public parking lot on Commerce Street between Green Street and Washington Street. All-day parking in this lot is $10. Payment can be made using the ParkMobile app. There is also a free parking lot on the east side of the river near the Old Train Depot Visitors' Information Center. From this lot, pedestrian access is available over one of two bridges to downtown.
