Walking
Bourbon Spring Historic Site is located near the intersection of Barrypoint Road and Scottswood Road in Riverside. From the intersection, walk west on Barrypoint Road. A WPA-built 20-step stairway on the east side of Barrypoint Road leads down to the monument. At the bottom of the stairs, stay left, and the monument will be visible along the low stone wall.

The Metra BNSF Railway Line stops at the Riverside station, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk to Bourbon Spring. From the station, head north on Forest Avenue, then turn left onto East Quincy Street. Turn right onto Barrypoint Road, and continue until you reach the WPA-built 20-step stairway on the left, which leads down to the monument.
