Driving
Dickson Mounds State Museum is located in a rural area of West Central Illinois. From Lewistown, head north on Illinois Route 97/78. The museum is located a few miles north of town on the right. Free parking is available at the museum. Note that the museum parking lot closes at 4 PM; after that, use the Eveland Village or Picnic Hill parking lots.
