Driving

Fort de Chartres is located on Illinois Route 155, approximately 4 miles west of Prairie du Rocher. From St. Louis, take I-255 South to IL-3 South towards Chester. Continue on IL-3 South for about 25 miles until you reach State Route 155. Turn left onto Route 155, and the fort will be on your right. Parking is available on-site. Special event parking may cost $10.

From the village of Prairie du Rocher, the most direct route is via State Route 155. While it is only 4 miles, there are no sidewalks along the route, so caution should be taken. Alternatively, rideshares or taxis could be used from Prairie du Rocher, with fares typically costing $10-$15.
