From Schaumburg, head to the nearest Metra train station, which is the Schaumburg station at 601 N Martingale Rd. Take the Metra MD-N (Milwaukee District North) line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the 'Union Station' stop. Once at Union Station, follow the signs to the 'CTA' (Chicago Transit Authority) connections. Take the Pink Line train from the adjacent station towards 18th. Get off at the 18th stop and transfer to the #35 bus heading east on 18th Street. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop for 35th Street. Walk a short distance west on 35th Street to reach Guaranteed Rate Field at 333 W 35th St.

Alternatively, you can take the Pace Bus #606 from Schaumburg to the Rosemont CTA station. Board the Blue Line train towards UIC-Halsted. After about 40 minutes, transfer to the Pink Line at the Polk station and take it towards 18th. Get off at the 18th stop and then catch the #35 bus heading east. After about 10 minutes on the bus, get off at the stop for 35th Street and walk west to Guaranteed Rate Field.
