    From Schaumburg, head to the nearest bus stop that services Pace Bus Route 607 or 696. Take the bus towards the 'Schaumburg Metra Station'. Once you arrive at the Schaumburg Metra Station, transfer to the Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards 'Chicago'. Get off at the 'Harold Washington' station. After exiting the station, walk towards State St and catch the CTA bus #3 or #4 heading south. Get off at the 48th and Michigan stop, and the Hall Branch, Chicago Public Library will be a short walk from there.

  • Public Transit - Train

    From Schaumburg, make your way to the Schaumburg Metra Station. Board the Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. Travel until you reach 'Union Station' in downtown Chicago. From Union Station, transfer to the CTA Red Line subway. Take the Red Line towards '95th/Dan Ryan' and get off at '23rd Street'. From there, you can take a short walk east on 23rd Street to Michigan Ave; the Hall Branch, Chicago Public Library will be on your right.
