Walking
Riverlore Mansion is located at 2723 Washington Ave in a residential area of Cairo. If you are already in the downtown area, such as near the Cairo Custom House Museum, walking is a viable option. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20 minutes. Follow Washington Avenue south; the mansion will be on your left. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Public transportation options within Cairo are limited. However, if arriving by Greyhound bus from a regional hub like Shawnee Hills, the bus will drop you off in Cairo. From the bus stop, a taxi or rideshare service is needed to reach Riverlore Mansion at 2723 Washington Ave. The taxi fare should be approximately $10-$15.
Driving
If driving, navigate to 2723 Washington Ave, Cairo, IL 62914. From I-57, take exit 1 for Cairo. Follow US-51 S/US-60 E into Cairo. Turn left onto Washington Avenue. The mansion will be on the right. Parking is available on the street near the mansion. There are no toll roads on this final approach. Parking is free.
