    If you are in downtown Springfield, start at the Old State Capitol located at 525 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62701. Exit the Old State Capitol and head south on 6th Street toward E Adams St. Turn right onto E Adams St and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. You will pass by several shops and restaurants. After crossing 5th Street, continue straight until you reach the intersection with 4th Street. The Central Springfield Historic District will be on your right, around the area of 4th and Adams, where you can explore the historical sites.
