Getting There

Walking

From the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, head south on 6th Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jefferson Street. Turn left onto Jefferson Street and walk east. After a few blocks, you'll reach the Old State Capitol Plaza. Lincoln Plaza Galleria is located at 4 S Old State Capitol Plaza, right next to the Old State Capitol building. Walking is free.
Public Transport

From the Illinois State Capitol, take the Sangamon Mass Transit District (SMTD) bus route 11 (East Washington). Board the bus at the stop on the northwest corner of 2nd Street and Capitol Avenue. Ride for about 5 stops and get off at the stop near 4th Street and Jefferson Street. From there, walk south on 4th Street towards the Old State Capitol. Lincoln Plaza Galleria will be on your right at 4 S Old State Capitol Plaza. A single ride fare on SMTD is $1.
Parking

Street parking is available around the Old State Capitol Plaza. Metered parking is free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and free all day on Saturdays and Sundays. During the day, metered parking is enforced. There are also parking garages located within walking distance, such as the Plaza Parking Garage at 767 E Washington St. Rates vary.

The location is ideal, with high tourism traffic and foot traffic due to its proximity to the Old State Capitol and other downtown attractions. The gallery aims to provide a sensory-accessible experience, welcoming all visitors to explore and appreciate the creativity on display.
