    From downtown Waukegan, start at the Waukegan Metra Station located at 100 S. Genesee St. Take the Metra train on the Union Pacific North Line heading towards Chicago. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the North Chicago station. Once you exit the station, head east on 14th St. towards Sheridan Rd. Turn right (south) on Sheridan Rd. and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Lakeview Ave. Turn left (east) onto Lakeview Ave. Foss Park Beach will be on your right at 35 Lakeview, North Chicago, IL 60088.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Waukegan. Start at the Waukegan Harbor and head north along the waterfront trail.
