If you are in downtown Waukegan, start at the Waukegan Metra Station located at 50 N. Genesee St. Exit the station and head east on Washington St. towards the lake. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach Sheridan Rd. Turn left (north) on Sheridan Rd and continue walking for about 0.7 miles until you reach E Sea Horse Dr. Turn right onto E Sea Horse Dr and walk for another 0.3 miles. Waukegan Dunes will be on your left at 540-562 E Sea Horse Dr.

From the Waukegan Metra Station, catch the Pace Bus Route 565 heading north.
