Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Head southeast on the National Highway 4 (NH4) towards Chidiya Tapu. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach Munda Pahad Beach Road. Turn left onto Munda Pahad Beach Road and continue straight for about 5 kilometers. You will find the Sunset Point 🌅 at the end of the road. Ensure to leave by 4 PM to enjoy the sunset and perhaps take a short trek.
Public Transportation
To reach Sunset Point 🌅 using public transportation, take a bus from Port Blair to Chidiya Tapu. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal. The journey will take about 45 minutes and cost approximately ₹50. Once you reach Chidiya Tapu, hire a local auto-rickshaw (around ₹150-₹200) to Munda Pahad Beach Road. Inform the driver that you want to go to Sunset Point. It’s advisable to leave Port Blair by 3 PM to ensure you arrive in time for the sunset.
Taxi
For a more comfortable and direct option, you can hire a taxi from Port Blair. The taxi ride to Sunset Point 🌅 will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around ₹800-₹1000 for a round trip. Make sure to leave by 4 PM to enjoy the sunset and return safely before dark.
Bicycle
For the adventurous traveler, renting a bicycle in Port Blair can be a fun way to reach Sunset Point 🌅. Ride southeast on NH4 towards Chidiya Tapu. It’s about a 25-kilometer ride, which may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Munda Pahad Beach Road, continue for another 5 kilometers to reach the point. Be sure to leave early enough to enjoy the sunset and carry water and snacks for the ride.
