Getting There

  • Boat

    The only way to reach Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island is by boat from Port Blair. Boats are available from Aberdeen Jetty (also known as Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex). The ferry ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Shared boat tickets cost approximately ₹600-₹900 per person for a round trip. Chartering a private boat will cost around ₹3000. From Port Blair Airport, take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Aberdeen Jetty. Taxis cost approximately ₹100-₹350, while auto-rickshaws range from ₹60-₹100. Local buses are also available but are less direct. Island entry fee is ₹30 for Indian citizens and ₹500 for foreigners. Camera fees are additional. Note: Boats may operate from Junglighat Jetty instead of Aberdeen Jetty due to damage at Aberdeen Jetty. Check in advance.
