Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman Islands. Take the NH-4 road towards Wandoor. Continue on this road, passing by scenic views of the islands. Follow the signs to Jirang. Once you reach Jirang, take the right turn to head towards Kalipur Beach. The beach is approximately 15 km from Jirang. Make sure to have a GPS or a map for navigation, as some areas may not have clear signposts.
Public Bus
From Port Blair, you can catch a public bus to Diglipur. Buses leave from the main bus terminal in Port Blair and the journey takes about 6-8 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Diglipur, you can hire a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to take you to Kalipur Beach. The distance from Diglipur to Kalipur Beach is about 12 km. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
Taxi
For a more comfortable option, consider hiring a taxi from Port Blair directly to Kalipur Beach. This will allow you to make stops along the way for sightseeing. The taxi fare from Port Blair to Kalipur Beach can range from ₹2000 to ₹3000, depending on the vehicle and negotiation. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
Local Auto-Rickshaw
Once in Diglipur, you can take a local auto-rickshaw to Kalipur Beach. Auto-rickshaws are a convenient way to travel short distances. The fare should be around ₹100 to ₹150 for the 12 km ride. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting in, as prices may vary.
