If driving from Tezpur, Assam, take NH15 towards Balipara. Continue on NH15 for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction leading to Balipara-Charduar-Tawang Road. Follow this road for about 20 km. The Nechiphu Tunnel North Portal is located at 5H64+7XH, Nechiphu. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition due to varying road conditions. There are no tolls on this route.

From Tezpur, take a shared taxi or bus to Balipara. The shared taxi fare is approximately INR 150-200 per person. From Balipara, hire a local taxi to Nechiphu Tunnel North Portal for around INR 300-400. Confirm the fare before starting your journey. Alternatively, from Tawang, take a shared taxi or local bus to the nearest stop on the Tawang-Charduar road, approximately 30-40 minutes. Walk a short distance to the tunnel entrance.

If walking from the nearest bus stop on the Tawang-Charduar road, head southeast along the main road towards Nechiphu. The walk takes about 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Carry water and snacks. Stay on designated paths and be prepared for some elevation changes.
