Getting There

  • Car

    From Auli, drive towards Joshimath on NH58. The distance is about 16 km and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once in Joshimath, take the road leading to Garpak, which is the nearest village to Nanda Devi National Park. The drive to Garpak from Joshimath is about 25 km and will take another 45 minutes. Please note that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Upon reaching Garpak, you will need to park your vehicle as there are no vehicles allowed inside the National Park.

    From Auli, take a shared taxi or local bus to Joshimath. Shared taxis can be found near the Auli ropeway station, and the fare is approximately ₹100-₹150 per person. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once in Joshimath, you can catch a bus or hire a taxi to Garpak.
