Car
From Auli, drive towards Joshimath on NH58. The distance is about 16 km and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once in Joshimath, take the road leading to Garpak, which is the nearest village to Nanda Devi National Park. The drive to Garpak from Joshimath is about 25 km and will take another 45 minutes. Please note that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Upon reaching Garpak, you will need to park your vehicle as there are no vehicles allowed inside the National Park.

Public Transportation
From Auli, take a shared taxi or local bus to Joshimath. Shared taxis can be found near the Auli ropeway station, and the fare is approximately ₹100-₹150 per person. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once in Joshimath, you can catch a bus or hire a taxi to Garpak. The cost of a taxi to Garpak will be around ₹500-₹700, and it will take about 45 minutes to reach. Make sure to confirm the return journey timings with the taxi driver or bus service.

If you're adventurous and fit, consider trekking from Garpak to Nanda Devi National Park. The trek is approximately 10 km and can take around 4-6 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have a guide and proper trekking gear, as the trail can be challenging. It is advisable to start early in the day to reach the park before noon.
