Road
Bhimbetka is located approximately 45 km south of Bhopal. The most convenient way to reach the site is by hiring a taxi or car from Bhopal. The drive takes about an hour. Follow the NH46 highway towards Hoshangabad. After driving through forest area, you'll need to pay an entrance fee to the Ratapani forest. Parking is available near the site entrance. As of July 2025, taxi fares from Bhopal to Bhimbetka typically range from ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 for a round trip. Parking charges for cars are ₹300.

Public Transport
You can take a bus from Bhopal to Obaidullaganj. From there, hire an auto-rickshaw or taxi to Bhimbetka, which is approximately 20 km away. As of July 2025, bus fares from Bhopal to Obaidullaganj are approximately ₹40. Auto-rickshaw fares from Obaidullaganj to Bhimbetka range from ₹300 to ₹500.
