Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Jhansi, which is approximately 30 km away from Barua Sagar Fort. Drive on NH 44 heading towards Barua Sagar. After about 25 km, take a left turn towards Barua Sagar and follow the signs for around 5 km until you reach the fort. Make sure to have a GPS or a reliable map application as the roads can be narrow in places.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Jhansi, you can take a local bus to Barua Sagar. Buses frequently run from Jhansi bus station to Barua Sagar. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Barua Sagar village, the fort is within walking distance. Follow the main road through the village, and you will see signs pointing to Barua Sagar Fort.
Auto Rickshaw
If you prefer a more direct route from the nearest bus stop in Barua Sagar village, you can hire an auto-rickshaw. The fare should be around ₹50-₹100 depending on your negotiation skills. The auto-rickshaw will take you directly to the entrance of Barua Sagar Fort.
Walking
Once you are in Barua Sagar village, if you choose to walk to the fort, it is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Follow the main road until you see the fort's entrance on your right. The path is straightforward and offers some scenic views of the surrounding area.
