The Mahatma Gandhi Statue is located on Marina Beach, easily accessible by foot from most points along the beach. From the northern end of the beach near Fort St. George, walk south along the promenade for approximately 2-3 kilometers. The statue will be visible on the eastern side of the road. From the southern end near the Santhome Cathedral, walk north along the beach for approximately 2-3 kilometers. The statue will be on your eastern side.

Chennai's Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses offer an affordable way to reach the Mahatma Gandhi Statue. Several bus routes pass along Kamarajar Salai, which runs parallel to Marina Beach. Alight at the Marina Beach stop. From there, the statue is a short walk towards the beach. Alternatively, the nearest metro stations are Government Estate and LIC on the Blue Line, both roughly 2.5 km away. From either station, you can take a bus or taxi to the statue. A single metro fare ranges from ₹10 to ₹50. A short bus ride will cost approximately ₹5-₹15. Suburban trains are also an option, with Chennai Beach and Chennai Park railway stations located a few kilometers away. From the railway station, you can take a bus or taxi to reach the statue.
