Walking
If you are in Egmore, the National Art Gallery is easily accessible by foot. From the Egmore Railway Station, head south on Poonamallee High Road. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Pantheon Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 1 kilometer. The National Art Gallery will be on your right. There is no cost for walking.
Public Transport
You can take a local bus to reach the National Art Gallery. Look for buses heading towards Pantheon Road or Egmore. Bus stops in Egmore include the Egmore Railway Station bus stop. The fare is usually around ₹10-₹20. Get off at a nearby stop and walk towards Pantheon Road; the gallery will be a short distance away.
Auto-Rickshaw
For a quicker option, take an auto-rickshaw. From anywhere in Egmore, ask the driver to take you to the National Art Gallery. The fare should typically be around ₹30-₹50, depending on your starting location. Make sure to have small change as most drivers may not have change for larger denominations.
