The temple was built with the blessings of Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati Swamigal of Kanchi Mutt and inspired by the Ashta Lakshmi shrine in the Varadharaja Perumal Temple at Kanchipuram. The temple's design reflects a blend of ancient Dravidian and contemporary architectural styles, resembling the shape of 'AUM,' the sacred Vedic mantra. This unique structure, modeled after the Ashtanga Vimana, features a multi-tiered complex with the sanctums arranged so devotees can visit each shrine without stepping over others.
