To reach Tungeshwar Mandir via public transport, take a local bus from Chopta to Bamoli. Buses usually depart from the main bus stand in Chopta. Confirm the timings with the local drivers as they can vary. The bus ride lasts about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Bamoli, you can either walk for about 15 minutes to reach the temple or hire a local taxi for a nominal fee of around INR 100-150, which will take you closer to the temple.
Car
If you are traveling by car from the central area of Chopta, head towards the Chopta-Tungnath road. Drive for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the Bamoli village. Look for signage indicating Tungeshwar Mandir. There is a parking area near the temple where you can leave your vehicle. The temple is about a 15-minute walk from the parking area, so ensure to wear comfortable shoes.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can walk from Chopta to Tungeshwar Mandir. The distance is approximately 3 kilometers and will take around 1 hour on foot. Start by following the Chopta-Tungnath road, and watch for a trail leading towards the temple once you reach Bamoli. The path is well-trodden, but ensure you have proper walking shoes and carry enough water.
