Shared taxis are also available for a more budget-friendly option, costing around ₹500-₹1,000 per person. Be prepared for steep, winding roads.
Public Transport
From New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), take a shared jeep or bus to Siliguri. From Siliguri, buses operated by Sikkim National Transport (SNT) leave for Pelling at 10:30 AM. Alternatively, shared jeeps are available from Siliguri to Geyzing (₹300 per person), and then another shared jeep from Geyzing to Pelling. The total journey can take 5-6 hours.
