Walking
From Chowrasta, head towards the North Point School on the left side of the square. Continue walking straight down the road that leads towards Observatory Hill. The path will be slightly uphill, and you'll find yourself walking through a quaint neighborhood. Keep following the signs for Mahakal Temple. As you approach the temple area, you will notice a series of steps leading up to the temple. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Chowrasta to the Mahakal Temple viewpoint.
Local Transportation (Rickshaw)
If you prefer not to walk, you can hire a local rickshaw from Chowrasta that will take you close to the Mahakal Temple. The fare typically ranges from INR 50 to INR 100 depending on your negotiation skills. Once you arrive at the closest drop-off point, you will need to walk the last part uphill to the temple, which is about a 5-minute walk.
