Getting There

Walking
Starting from Darjeeling Mall (Chowrasta), walk down to the Chowk Bazaar area. From the Mall, head down the main road towards the Chowk Bazaar. Once you reach Chowk Bazaar, look for the signboards that direct you to the Ghoom area. You may also ask locals for directions to 'Buddha Park' as it is a well-known landmark. The route is mostly downhill, so be careful on your way. From Chowk Bazaar, you will continue straight until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left road which leads towards Ghoom. This road is about 10 km (6.2 miles) in distance and will take you through scenic views and local villages. Follow the signs to Lepcha Jagat, which should be reachable on foot. Keep an eye out for local signboards guiding you to your destination.

From Chowrasta (the Mall in Darjeeling), walk to the nearest bus stop located at the Chowk Bazaar area. Look for local buses heading towards Ghoom. The bus fare is minimal, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at Ghoom Monastery. From there, you will need to walk towards the Lepcha Jagat trail. Look for signs or ask locals for the trail path. Walking from Ghoom Monastery to Lepcha Jagat is approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) and will take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace.
