Digha Science Centre: A Coastal Hub of Discovery

Located in the coastal town of Digha, West Bengal, the Digha Science Centre & National Science Camp is a satellite unit of the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum. Established on August 31, 1997, by the Government of India, the center aims to propagate knowledge of science and technology to tourists, the rural community, and students through exhibits and activities. The Science Centre features a variety of attractions, including the Fun Science Gallery, Reflections Gallery, and Life Science Gallery. Visitors can explore a Jurassic Park with light and sound, a 3D theatre, and the Space & Astronomy Centre. The center also houses a planetarium offering immersive experiences of the cosmos. An outdoor Science Park provides interactive science exhibits for learning through activity. The Digha Science Centre regularly hosts educational programs, workshops and science camps. These include activities such as nature study, yoga day, science quizzes, science fairs, and workshops on coastal water pollution. The center is designed to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for science among visitors of all ages.
