Thousand Pillar Temple, Warangal Fort & Ramappa Temple Tour
Thousand Pillar Monument And Rudreshwar Temple.
With very high expectations on 1000 pillar temple and Bhadrakali temple, I planned a day trip to Warangal on 24-Oct-26. Outside, there is parking for approximately 20 cars or so. But on the main busy road, you will find difficulty in finding parking on weekends. There is no admission ticket or fee for all. First we went to Rudreshwara temple which has a approx. 7 feet Lord Shiva idol [Linga roopam]. We opted for a Pooja wherein we could enter the main sanctum and do Abhishekam to Lord with our hands. Gents have to remove oupper cloths [shift / baniyan] to enter the sanctum. Great feeling to see the place which has history dating back to 11th century Kakatiya dynasty. Priests are not upto the mark and money minded people. Once out of the temple, we can see monolithic Nandi [bull which is worshipped as Lord Shiva's carrier. Very fine and artistic on this Nandi makes us look at it with admiration. Uniqueness of this Nandi is that, normally in all Shiva temples, Nandi looks at the main deity, exactly opposite to Shiva lingam. Here, it is outside and looking at towards East. Back side to Nandi idol, there is this very popular and renowned 1000 pillar temple. Actually it is only 300-350 pillars only and somehow got the name of 1000 pillars to describe it as a big, decorated and great monument. Noted that, it has many big boulders counts to 1000+. It is like a star shaped temple from the top and inside it is beautiful. It is said to be a unique Technical expertise [sandboxing] used during those 11th century years to join huge stones to make it like a pillar. Interlocking mechanism used to withstand natural calamities. Excellent workmanship makes us wondering about those artists and craftsmen. No high tech equipment or designs during those years and purely handmade beautiful works on pillars. We missed the expert Guide giving all these finer points. As no guides are available, better to read and come with all knowledge to explore furether. Great monument and must visit place during Warangal trip. Missing are: No official or private tourist guide to explain more facts and more information about these 2 monuments which next to each other. Definitely ASI or Govt of Telangana should do more work to make trip to these monuments more informative and throw more information to tourists.

Temples and Tales of Kakatiya's A Journey Through Time and Stone
Best tour in india
We booked this tour for our guests, and it was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Mr. Srinu, has excellent knowledge of temple architecture and the history of the Kakatiyas. His storytelling made the history and legends come alive. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ramappa Temple was the highlight of the tour, along with the Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort. A beautifully organised and memorable journey through Kakatiya heritage. Highly recommended!

Warangal Historical Sites Day Tour From Hyderabad
Great experience
Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind, we learned so much during this tour. We do recommend everyone to take a hat and wear sunscreen as you will be exposed on the sun. Our guide tried his best to keep us out of the sun while sharing the explanations.
