Getting There

  • Gondola

    The primary access to Apharwat Peak is via the Gulmarg Gondola. From Gulmarg, proceed to the Gondola base station, approximately 900m from the Gulmarg city center. Purchase tickets for both Phase 1 (Gulmarg to Kongdoori) and Phase 2 (Kongdoori to Apharwat). The Gondola ride to Phase 2 takes around 12-15 minutes. Gondola ticket costs vary. As of July 2025, Phase 1 is approximately ₹810, and Phase 2 is approximately ₹1010. A combined ticket for both phases will cost ₹1820. Prices are subject to change, and online booking is highly recommended. After disembarking at the Apharwat Peak Gondola station, a short trek (30 minutes) will take you to the summit.
