Getting There

• Bus

  From the main city area of Guwahati, head to the Paltan Bazar bus station. Look for buses heading towards the outskirts of the city, specifically those going towards the 'Guwahati - Garbhanga' route. The fare is usually around INR 20-30. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at 'Garbhanga'. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach the Garbhanga area, you will need to ask locals for directions to Thiyapani waterfall, as it is not directly accessible by bus.

• Auto-rickshaw

  After getting off the bus in Garbhanga, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you closer to Thiyapani waterfall. The drivers are familiar with the area and will know exactly where to go. The fare should be negotiated beforehand, but expect to pay around INR 100-150 for the short ride. The auto will drop you off at a point where you can start your trek to the waterfall.

• Trekking

  From the drop-off point of the auto-rickshaw, you will need to trek approximately 1-2 kilometers to reach Thiyapani waterfall. The path may be rugged and require some climbing, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water. Follow the local trails, and you can ask for directions from villagers along the way. The waterfall is well-known among locals, and they will help guide you.
