Sarod Ghar, also known as Kala Vithika, is a museum in Gwalior dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian classical music. Housed in the ancestral home of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the museum's creation was inspired by Khan's visit to Beethoven's birthplace in Germany, which sparked the idea to create a similar space for Indian musicians. The museum is owned by the Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan Memorial Trust. The museum showcases a variety of ancient musical instruments from distinguished Indian musicians, along with photographs and documents. Among the exhibits are the instruments of Amjad Ali Khan's forefathers, including sarods of Nanne Khan and rababs of Ghulam Bandagi Khan Bangash. Instruments belonging to Haafiz Ali Khan and Asghar Ali Khan are also part of the collection. The architecture of the haveli (mansion) reflects the royal grandeur of Gwalior and the region's rich cultural heritage. Sarod Ghar aims to create awareness and respect for classical music and Indian musical instruments. The museum regularly conducts audio programs and live performances in its central courtyard, designed as an open-air auditorium. It also collects and provides a database of classical music in the form of books and articles.
