Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the main Hampi Bazaar area. Head southwest on the Hampi Main Road, continuing for about 2.5 kilometers. You will pass the Virupaksha Temple on your left. Keep following the road until you reach a fork; take the left path that leads towards the village of Anegundi. Continue along this road for another 4 kilometers. Look for a sign directing you to Ancient Mantapa, which should be on your right. There is usually parking available nearby, but you may need to pay a small fee of approximately ₹20.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, catch a local bus from the Hampi bus stand to Anegundi. Buses run frequently and the fare is around ₹10. After arriving in Anegundi, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you to Ancient Mantapa for about ₹50-₹100, depending on your negotiation skills. The rickshaw ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to show the driver a map or mention 'Ancient Mantapa' to ensure you reach the correct location.

Walking

If you are feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, you can walk to Ancient Mantapa. From Hampi Bazaar, head towards the Tungabhadra River and cross the bridge. Once on the other side, follow the path leading north through the village. The walk is around 3 kilometers and takes about 45 minutes.
