Public Transport
The most common way to reach Sainj Valley is by road from Aut, a town on the Delhi-Manali highway. From Delhi or Chandigarh, take an overnight bus to Aut. Once in Aut, local buses regularly depart for Sainj Valley throughout the day. The bus journey from Aut to Sainj takes approximately 1-2 hours. Bus fare from Aut to Sainj is approximately INR 50-100.
Taxi
Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from Aut to Sainj. Taxis are readily available near the Aut bus stand. The taxi ride to Sainj takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, offering a more comfortable and direct journey. Expect to pay around INR 800-1200 for a taxi from Aut to Sainj.
Driving
If you are driving, take the Delhi-Manali highway (NH3) and get off just before Bhuntar at Aut. After crossing the Aut tunnel, you'll find Aut town. From Aut, take the road towards Sainj Valley. The distance from Aut to Sainj is approximately 21 km. The road is in decent condition but can be narrow and winding in some sections. Parking is available in Sainj village, though it may be limited during peak season.
