Brahmatal Trek: A Himalayan Winter Wonderland

The Brahmatal Trek is a mesmerizing winter adventure set in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. Brahmatal derives its name from Hindu mythology; it is believed that Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, meditated by the serene lake. The trek offers a chance to visit two pristine alpine lakes: Brahmatal and Bekaltal. In winter, these lakes freeze over, adding to the ethereal beauty of the surroundings. The Brahmatal trek is considered to be of moderate difficulty, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced trekkers. The total trek distance is approximately 30 kilometers, typically covered in five to six days. The best time to undertake this trek is during the winter months (December to March) when the region is covered in snow.
