    From Kathgodam Railway Station, take a bus or shared taxi to Tharali. From Tharali, hire a taxi to Lohajung, the base camp for the Brahmatal Trek. Shared taxis from Tharali to Lohajung cost approximately INR 500-700 per person. A private taxi will cost around INR 2500-3000.

  • Walking

    The Brahmatal trek starts from Lohajung. The initial ascent from Lohajung to the first campsite at Bekaltal is a steep climb of over 2000 feet. Ensure you have proper trekking shoes and walking poles. Porters are available in Lohajung to carry heavy backpacks for a fee of approximately INR 800-1200 per day.
