The blissful night in the desert camping organized by Mystic Jaisalmer was undoubtedly one of the finest experiences of my lifetime. We went there with our family of 5 and all of us were mesmerized by the beauty of the desert. The trip was immaculately designed with all minor details taken into consideration- from the initial pick up in a jeep, the depth of knowledge of the guide, the camel rides, the heavenly experience of watching the sunset on a sand dune, to the beautiful Rajasthani folk music at the camping site, the delicious food and the comfortable tents and star gazing- all aspects exceeded our expectations. In particular Ashraf Ali and his brother Shoukat Ali were two incredible and pleasant and helpful persons without whom we could not have done this trip especially considering the fact we were traveling from Boston and were not familiar with the landscape and the logistics of the trip. Mystic Jaisalmer made it a lifetime memory. Highly recommended.

Authentic farm getaway

My friend and I loved wandering the cumin farm with Ali and James. As two women traveling India, it’s sometimes hard to navigate but they were really respectful and kind gentleman. The crops were in their baby form which was nice to see, the harvest happens closer to February so we were a bit early. Started with a trip to a small nearby lake. Then we were greeted at the farm with a delicious cup of chai. We learned about different trees and plants on the land. Tried some “glue” berries that sticks to your mouth. A weird fruit but interesting to experience! Lunch was tasty and some women from the family gave us henna. This felt like a very authentic getaway from Jaisalmer city and I think everyone should check it out! Ali also helped book us with a desert stargazing tour that was amazing! We went to a part of the desert where there were no people and I highly recommend asking Ali or James about that offer too.
