Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Ranchi, take NH 43 towards Lohardaga. After about 60 km, take the turn onto SH 9 towards Betla. Continue on SH 9 for approximately 35 km until you reach Betla National Park. The park is well-marked, and you can use Google Maps for real-time navigation. Ensure you have your vehicle fueled up as there are limited services along the route.

• Public Bus

  From Ranchi, you can catch a bus to Daltonganj. There are several state-run and private buses available that run frequently. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once in Daltonganj, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to Betla National Park, which is around 25 km away. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically ranging from INR 500 to INR 800.

• Train

  You can take a train from Ranchi to Daltonganj. Trains like the Ranchi-Daltonganj Passenger run regularly and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival at Daltonganj, hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to Betla National Park, which is approximately 25 km away. Expect to pay around INR 500 to INR 800 for the taxi.

• Taxi

  If you prefer more comfort, you can book a taxi from Ranchi directly to Betla National Park. This can be done through various ride-hailing apps or local taxi services. The distance is about 95 km and would take around 3-4 hours depending on traffic. The fare can range between INR 1500 to INR 2500 depending on the vehicle type and service provider.
