Walking
If you are starting from the Kanyakumari Bus Stand, exit the bus station and head south on Main Road (Nagaraja Road) for about 500 meters until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left onto Beach Road. Continue walking along Beach Road for another 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for the large statue of Thiruvalluvar on your right as you approach the coast. The Kanyakumari Lighthouse is located on the shore, just beyond the Thiruvalluvar statue. You can see the lighthouse from a distance, and it's a short walk along the promenade to reach the entrance.
Auto Rickshaw
From your location in Kanyakumari, you can hire an auto rickshaw. Simply ask the driver to take you to Kanyakumari Lighthouse. It is a popular tourist destination, so the driver should be familiar with it. The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to explore Kanyakumari by bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop. From the rental shop, head south on Main Road (Nagaraja Road) and then turn left onto Beach Road. Cycle along Beach Road, enjoying the sea breeze and the views. After around 1 kilometer, you will reach the area near the Thiruvalluvar statue. The Kanyakumari Lighthouse is just a short distance from there, and you can park your bicycle near the entrance.
