If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Srinagar. Take the NH44 highway towards Anantnag. Continue on this road for about 60 km until you reach Anantnag. From Anantnag, take the left turn onto the Sedew - Aharbal Road. The road will lead you directly to Aharbal Waterfall, which is approximately 20 km from Anantnag. The waterfall is well signposted, and you will see signs directing you as you approach Aharbal.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Srinagar to Anantnag. Buses frequently operate from the bus stand in Srinagar. The journey takes about 2 hours. Once in Anantnag, look for local shared taxis or auto-rickshaws that go to Aharbal. The fare for a shared taxi to Aharbal is around 100-150 INR per person.
