Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car and are already in Kashmir Valley, head towards Pahalgam. Chandanwadi is located approximately 16 kilometers from Pahalgam. Take the NH 46 road which leads directly to Chandanwadi. The route is scenic, with beautiful views of the mountains and the Lidder River. Once you reach Chandanwadi, you can park your vehicle in the designated parking area.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus or shared taxi from Srinagar to Pahalgam. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Srinagar. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Pahalgam, you can hire a local taxi or take a shared cab to Chandanwadi, which is about a 30-minute drive from Pahalgam. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

Local Taxi

From Pahalgam, you can also hire a local taxi to take you directly to Chandanwadi. Taxis are available near the main market area in Pahalgam. The cost for a one-way trip is typically around INR 500 to INR 800, depending on negotiation. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand and confirm the return journey if needed.

Walking

For the more adventurous travelers, if you're already in Pahalgam and would like a scenic experience, you can hike to Chandanwadi.
