Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Kerala Backwaters Tourism in Changanassery, start from the nearest major city, Kottayam. Head south on the NH183 highway for approximately 20 kilometers. • Bus

  To reach Kerala Backwaters by public bus, head to the Kottayam bus station. Buses from Kottayam to Changanassery run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes and costs approximately INR 30. Once you arrive at the Changanassery bus stand, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take an auto-rickshaw to the Kerala Backwaters Tourism area. Auto-rickshaw fares are around INR 50-100, depending on your negotiation skills.

• Train

  If you're coming from a different part of Kerala, you can take a train to Changanassery railway station.
