Strolling Along the Scenic Fortkochi Beach Walkway

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Kochi, you can take a leisurely walk to Fort Kochi Beach Walkway. Start by heading towards the Marine Drive area, which is a popular promenade. From there, walk towards the direction of the high court and continue straight until you reach the Fort Kochi Ferry Terminal. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the ferry terminal, take a ferry to Fort Kochi (the ferry ride is about 10 minutes). After disembarking, follow the signs towards Beach Walkway, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the ferry.

• Ferry

  From Ernakulam, head to the Ernakulam Boat Jetty, which is easily accessible via public transport. Board a ferry that goes to the Fort Kochi Ferry Terminal. The ferry ride takes around 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at Fort Kochi, exit the terminal and follow the signs to Beach Walkway. It's roughly a 10-minute walk from the terminal.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer to take a public bus, head to the nearest bus stop and take a bus heading towards Fort Kochi. Look for buses that display 'Fort Kochi' or 'Kochi Beach' in their route. The bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Fort Kochi, ask the driver or locals for directions to the Beach Walkway, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main bus stop.

• Auto Rickshaw

  You can also hire an auto rickshaw from anywhere in Kochi. Simply tell the driver 'Fort Kochi Beach Walkway' or show them the address: 'X68Q+46R, Beach Walkway, Fort Kochi'. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The auto rickshaw will drop you off close to the Beach Walkway, and you can walk a short distance to reach the beach.
