A Great Introduction to Kerala in Just Four Days

We only had four days available in Kerala and were surprised by how much variety we could experience without the trip feeling rushed. Kochi, Munnar and Thekkady each had a completely different atmosphere. The drive into Munnar was one of our favourite parts. Watching the scenery gradually change into green hills and tea plantations made the journey itself enjoyable. Thekkady was different again, with its forests, spice-growing areas and quieter surroundings. What made the tour particularly easy was having the transport organised throughout. We didn't have to keep figuring out routes or transfers, and we could simply enjoy each day. Our driver was punctual, patient and gave us enough time at the places we wanted to explore. For anyone visiting Kerala for the first time but with limited time, this four-day itinerary gives a surprisingly good taste of the state. As a traveler, this was one of the most peaceful and genuine experiences I’ve had. The houseboat ride through the calm backwaters, surrounded by greenery and simple village life, felt truly special. A Truly Special Experience with Freeda

Taking a cooking class with Freeda was one of the most special parts of our honeymoon and truly the highlight of our trip. From the moment we met her, we felt an immediate connection, she welcomed us so warmly that it felt like spending time with an auntie we had known for years. It was such a joy getting to cook, talk, and share the evening with her. Freeda is an incredible teacher and we learned so much during our time together. She not only taught us how to make some of our favorite dishes, but she also prepared many other foods for us to taste, which made the entire experience feel even more generous and memorable. More than just a cooking class, it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home and culture in the most genuine way. We left feeling full, happy, and deeply grateful for the time we spent with her. We truly hope to stay in touch and will always remember this experience as one of the most meaningful moments of our honeymoon.
