8 stalls/restaurants and 12 meals, each one better than the other!

Sunil was a fantastic tour guide on our street food tour. We visited 8 different street food stalls/restaurants and tried 12 different meals. Truly outstanding meals and a very knowledgeable guide. What a way to get to know south indian cuisine!

Fort Cochin Heritage Tour by The Kochi Heritage Project

Well curated heritage walk with deeply researched historical insights

We had taken a private walking tour called "A Queen’s Story". Our “storytellers” (as they like to be called) Devika and Rizwan had a pleasant demeanour and good subject knowledge. The walk was well curated with ample of information on the way (about the local history, architecture, food, language and customs) ranging from interesting trivia and anecdotes to deep historical insights and well researched tales of multiple foreign cultural contacts (Romans, Jews, Arabs , Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch and British) and their influences on the various aspects of local culture and vice versa. The work put into the research was commendable. Adherence to the timings was also precise. Our good fortune of having an amazing weather was an icing on the cake and made the experience even better. As is with history, it illuminates the understanding of the present and adds a whole new perspective to the way one sees the same old structures, practices and traditions which would routinely have bypassed our vision. It is like the whole place gets infused with life and becomes alive. It also reminds us that the world has been more deeply connected than we tend to think and makes us forget our differences and become more accepting. An immersive experience. Recommended for sure.
